Anger Control Group to Begin September 1 (765) 644-1414
The Anderson Center will be offering an 8-week Anger Control Group beginning September 1 at 5 p.m. Jeffrey Valerio, LCSW, a specialist in anger control and domestic violence, will facilitate the group.

The group is open to individuals age 18 and over whose lives are negatively affected by their anger issues. These issues include but are not limited to road rage, anger issues with work, and domestic violence.

Anger issues can impair relations with family members and diminish how an individual feels about themselves. Adults with unresolved anger issues will often treat others poorly. This is especially detrimental to those with children; they can damage the self-esteem of the children through their actions and verbal insults.

Valerio will focus on determining and understanding the underlying cause of the anger and then on managing, preventing, and controlling that anger. Other areas that will be covered are gaining understanding of what triggers one's anger and changing one's way of thinking.

To register for the anger control group, call the Anderson Center at 765-644-1414.
