Cuts for a Cause and Casting Call Set for Feb. 23

The ClipZone Salon and Day Spa, Saint John’s Health System, St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana and American Heart Association are collaborating on two events to support the fight against women and heart disease.

On Feb. 23, ClipZone stylists will provide haircuts and styles for a special price of $24 from noon to 6 p.m.  The event is called Cuts for a Cause.  The Clip Zone, located at 1913 C St., Anderson, also will provide these discounted services during the event:  brow shaping ($7), makeup application ($7), Dermalogica face mapping ($5), chair massage ($1/minute), and men’s cuts ($15).  Proceeds will go to the American Heart Association and the Saint John’s Foundation.  No appointments are necessary.

St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana, Saint John’s Health System and the American Heart Association will have displays and door prize drawings during the noon to 6 p.m. event.

Also during Cuts for a Cause, women can participate in the 2009 Go Red for Women Casting Call.  Women will be videotaped sharing their stories about heart-healthy lifestyle changes.  Participants’ stories may be selected to be included in a national television special on the choices women have made to live healthy lives.  Call 646-8290 for an appointment to videotape your story.
