Van Osdol Named President
Tom
Van Osdol has accepted the position of President of Saint
John’s Health System, effective immediately. Ian Worden,
Chief Financial Officer, Interim Chief Operating Officer of
St.Vincent Health made the announcement on Friday, May 23.
Tom has
been serving as Interim President of the Saint John’s since
December 2007, after Kyle De Fur assumed the position of
President of St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital.
Tom has
been a member of Saint John’s Health System for over 18
years, first as a staff Speech Language Pathologist. He has
received several promotions and recognitions throughout his
years of service and has been a key member of Saint John’s
leadership team for over 15 years, serving most recently as
Vice President of Operations. Tom has been instrumental in
leading numerous clinical and operational departments,
programs and successes throughout his tenure, including the
recent system-wide implementation of the LEAN process
improvement methodology.
“Tom is a proven leader, as he has
worked diligently to drive operational efficiencies and has
led many of our quality initiatives,” explained Saint John’s
Health System Board Chair Don Henderson. “These important
contributions did not go unrecognized by the board, medical
staff and leadership team during our search for a new
president. We believe Tom has the skills and experience
necessary to make this a seamless transition.”
