Choose to Lose Weight Loss Program
Saint
John's Health System, the Anderson YMCA and Kroger/Pay Less
Super Markets are
partnering to offer a program for individuals who want
to lose weight and lead healthier lives.
A program is
being offered for individuals who want help in making
changes toward healthier lives. The Choose to Lose program
educates participants about the nutritional, physical
and emotional aspects of weight management and healthy
lifestyles.
The eight-week
program meets on Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The next
session begins Sept. 13 at Saint John’s Health System. Space is limited. Call 683-3125 or email
lmenlow@sjhsnet.org.
The $50 cost
includes a one-week free pass to use the YMCA, including the
cardio and weight rooms, and swimming pool. Each person may
also have a personal fitness trainer orientation. The YMCA
will also drop the $50 registration fee for any of our
participants who choose to become a YMCA member.
Free glucose and
cholesterol screenings will be conducted at the first week
and the final week, so participants can see how their
healthy eating choices positively affect their screenings.
Local restaurants will feature their
health-conscious menu items and the group will tour a
super market and have cooking demonstrations.
