Saint John’s
Anderson Center and Healthy Tobacco-Free Madison County,
Inc., have arranged for Isabel Burk, a nationally known,
award-winning expert on drug prevention, safety policies,
and health education issues, will give three presentations
on Oct. 15.
In the morning
she will discuss prescription drug abuse at a breakfast for
probation officers, judges and others. She will address the
Women of INFluence at a luncheon at 11 a.m. Her
presentation, entitled “The Power of Prevention,” will be
followed by information on alcohol, media and the brain.
At 6 p.m., she
will share a peek inside youth culture in a presentation
called “Secrets of the Streets.” Find out what kids know
that you need to know.
These free
presentations are open to the public and will be conducted
at Flagship Enterprise, 2705 Enterprise Drive by I-69 Exit

Burk is
director of The Health Network. She has written two books
and more than 100 articles and has appeared on “20/20,” “CBS
This Morning,” “The View,” “Phil Donahue,” “Fox News,” and
others.
