RELEASES:
Parenting Group forming
The Anderson Center will be offering a
Parenting Group led by Charlotte Tirre, LCSW.
The group is open to parents who might
be depressed, anxious or stressed over issues concerning
their children.
Every parent faces issues with their
children that seem too difficult to handle. This can often
lead to feelings of helplessness and disappointment as a
parent. The group is designed to let other parents know that
they are not alone in this struggle.
Tirre will focus on issues such as
discipline, structure, reward methods, self-esteem
enhancement and coping with teenage hormones. The group will
function as a question and answer session. “The focus is to
keep the line of communication open with your kids,” said
Tirre.
Those interested in participating in
this group should contact Tirre at the Anderson Center by
March 15. Once the interest has been determined, Tirre will
establish a regular meeting time.
The class is covered by most insurance,
and new participants must go through an orientation. For a
free evaluation to determine eligibility and to sign up for
orientation, call the Anderson Center at 765-644-1414.
