BIO-TARGETED THERAPIES

Bio-targeted therapies stop specific steps in the growth process of cancer cells. Cancer cells are not healthy cells, so if you can stop them from growing they will die. For example, breast cancer cells feed on hormones. Tamoxifen stops hormone production; therefore, cells die from lack of "food." There are other drugs for different cancers.
