John’s Cancer Center, in cooperation with Saint John’s
surgeons, provide the latest procedures in brachytherapy for
the treatment of cancer. Prostate cancer and breast cancer
respond particularly well to these new procedures, which
involve introducing radioactive seeds into the cancer site.
Saint John’s was among the first facilities in the United
States to offer SAVI and Mammosite, the new 5-day treatment
for breast cancer following lumpectomy. For further
