KEVIN'S KORNER CANCER LIBRARY

The Saint John’s Cancer Center has established a cancer library located in the Cancer Center waiting room.  The staff member's combined efforts have been to bring patients, their families and caregivers, as well as professional staff, a resource specifically designed to support the need for information on cancer and its related issues.

We believe that having access to information is a vital part of the decision-making process in health and well-being. We hope that you use “Kevin’s Korner” to keep aware of the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment, to seek support from an author’s inspirational words, to investigate alternative/complementary therapies or to find a link to a national organization, newsletter, or support group.

We look forward to working with you. Together, we can empower ourselves through the knowledge, information and support available to us.

"Kevin’s Korner" is located on the first floor of Saint John’s Ambulatory Services Center, 2020 Meridian Street, Suite 100. A satellite "Korner" is available in our Chemotherapy Unit on the Second Floor.

The Cancer Center staff will help you find the resources you need. A one-on-one orientation may be requested from the Health Sciences Librarian at 646-8262. This half-hour session will show you how to utilize the web links and access the information you need. You may request information in person, over the phone, or through e-mail (kevinskorner@sjhsnet.org).. Please remember that our staff nor librarian cannot give medical advice or interpret information. Please refer those personal questions to your healthcare provider.

"Can I borrow materials from "Kevin’s Korner"?"
Unfortunately materials cannot be removed from "Kevin’s Korner." Since our collection is a small one, we want to make everything available when needed. However, you are welcome to print off information for home use.
