Chemotherapy, IV Injection

Patient-focused chemotherapy is provided on an outpatient basis in the Chemotherapy, IV Injections and Transfusion Unit on the Ambulatory Services Center’s second floor.  The unit provides a comfortable, private setting for outpatient chemotherapy and various procedures as ordered by the physician. Laboratory tests and other services are brought to the patients as they rest in comfortable recliners with their own television sets.  CBC tests are performed on site and the results are available within minutes. 

The following services are also provided in the chemotherapy/IV Infusion unit for non-oncology and oncology patients:

IM/IV antibiotics
Blood and platelet transfusions
IV hydration
Iron infusions
Vitamin K, allergy-relief and other injections
Colony stimulating factors (Neupogen, Procrit, Neumega)
Lab services
Blood draws
Central line maintenance
Diuretics
Remicade infusions
Solumedrol infusions
