DESCRIPTION:

GoldenCare+ is free for persons age 55 and older or disabled persons of any age receiving Medicare. GoldenCare+ offers a variety of services for all mature adults, not just those hospitalized. The program promotes good health and helps mature adults live as independently as possible by offering referrals to support services.

HOW TO ENROLL:

Call the above number for an application. After application processing, a GoldenCare+ card will be mailed, entitling the member to the following benefits:

GOLDEN CARE+ MEMBERS:

• A GoldenCare+ representative is available to members by phone. The representative can explain community health resources available, and refer callers to Saint John’s staff who provide information about Medicare and health care billing forms.
• A 25% discount on meals in Saint John’s Cafeteria is available when members show their GoldenCare+ card to the cashier.
• A 10% discount is available on gifts purchased in the Victoria Guild Gift Shop, located in the main lobby of the Medical Center.
• A 10% discount is given on non-Medicare reimbursable items from Saint John’s Medical Supplies.
