CARDIOLOGY:
Saint John's Cardiovascular Services offers
diagnostic and therapeutic exams.
Catheterization Lab
Saint John's performs hundreds of catheterizations per year to
evaluate heart function and determine if arteries are blocked or
narrowed. We provide sophisticated diagnostic catheterization with
the personal attention possible in a smaller facility.
Other procedures offered
to inpatients and outpatients include:
- Tilt table testing,
- Transesophageal
echocardiograms,
- Pericardiocenteses,
- Cardioversions,
- Infusion therapy
- Exercise and chemical stress testing
- Electrocardiograms -- adult and pediatric
- Echocardiograms -- adult and pediatric
- Arterial doppler (peripheral
vascular) studies,
- Holter and event monitoring,
- Thoracenteses
Temporary pacing and intra-aortic
balloon counterpulsation are provided on an emergency basis.
The service
line is staffed by registered nurses, radiology technologists, multiple
task technicians, and echocardiography technicians, all of whom
perform/assist with testing under the direction of staff cardiologists.
HOURS: 6 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through
Friday.
