When all traditional modalities for treating pain have failed, Saint John’s Pain Clinic provides patients with a multi-disciplinary approach to pain treatment. Chronic back pain, leg pain, sciatica, and other nerve-associated pains are frequently treated. In more severe cases, implantable pain devices have been used at the physician’s discretion. Forms of pain treatment include, but are not limited to: epidural steroid injections, local injections, physical therapy, and psychological therapy. The Pain Clinic is staffed by nurses who are specially trained in pain management and Dr. Charles Howe, an anesthesiologist with a specialty in pain management.
